Dr. Dena Walton

Dena Walton is an experienced faculty member and business and grants specialist with nearly 10 years of grant development and reviewing experience. She has been a state, federal and international peer grant reviewer since 2008 and has also developed and managed competitive and formula grants successfully awarded by USDA, FCC, U.S. Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services, and the National Science Foundation. Additionally, Dr. Walton is an invited reviewer and has conducted peer reviews for state and federal Departments of Education, Health and Human Services: Medicare and Medicaid Services, Administration for Children and Families, National Institutes of Health Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, and the Corporation for National and Community Service. Dena has also served as the U.S. representative on the International Peer Review Panel for the Dimension of European Research in Agricultural Research for Development. In addition, Dr. Walton is a Board Member for the Younger Years and Beyond, National Federation of Families chapter and previously served as a board member for the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services, Babies Can’t Wait Interagency Coordinating Council.
