If you see a grant that interest you, call the Program officer and see if they are accepting new grant reviewers. ACF, SAMHSA, HRSA all have their own grant reviewer process. Go to their sites and sign up to be a grant reviewer.

This blog mentions the importance of becoming not on a grant submitter, but a grant reviewer as well. How can I become a grant panelist? I would welcome this experience.
