Dr. David Niebuhr

Dr. David H. Niebuhr is an expert in strategic planning, project management and fund development. He earned his Ph.D. in Biological Oceanography at the College of William & Mary and has since earned an M.B.A. and managed more than $9.0M in funded projects. He has a broad background as a leader in the non-profit and education communities. Dr. Niebuhr is known for his enthusiastic and engaging style with his students and subject matter. His reputation as an educator lead him to be selected to develop and teach science education programs as part of a joint US-China program sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and he served as the education and outreach expert on NOAA’s Oceans and Human Health Initiative National Advisory Panel and the NOAA NERRS Blue Ribbon Strategic Planning Committee. Dr. Niebuhr has completed the AZA Executive Leadership Development Program with an emphasis on leadership training and developing highly functioning work teams.
