General Workshop Questions:

Q. How do I register?
A. Click here to register for an upcoming grant training workshop.
Q. When should I register?
A. Our classes fill-up quickly, and our registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis, you should register as far in advance as possible.
Q. What if the class is full?
A. If the class is full, we shall notify you, and you can register for the next available workshop in your area.
Q. How and when do I receive information about the workshops?
A. You may call or e-mail our office for this information; however, upon registration we electronically send extensive materials that include: location, agenda, faculty resumes of those teaching the class, how to prepare for the course, what to bring, and hotel accommodations for those traveling.
Q. Will I receive additional information after the class?
A. All our graduates will have access to the updated CD and will receive our bi-monthly newsletter with the latest news on funding opportunities.
Q. Will I receive additional assistance after the class?
A. We will be happy to review the executive summary/abstract and discuss the direction of your grant with you.
Q. Will there be follow-up and alumni support?
A. Usually, at the end of each year, we schedule a one-day conference where our alumni can present their winning proposals and meet with granting agency representatives.
Q. Can I maintain contact with those who attend the class?
A. Upon everyones approval, we send the e-mail and contact list to those who attended the class.
Q. What is the experience of the instructors?
A. Our instructors have over 10 years experience in grant procurement and are selected for their ability to effectively train our clients in an interactive, entertaining and substantive approach.
Q. What is the success rate for grants received of those who attended classes?
A. Our success rate as measured over the past five years, is over 70% of those who submit their proposals.
Q. Can GTC assist with airline and hotel reservations?
A. Although we can recommend possibilities, this is the responsibility of the participant.

Payment Questions:

Q. When can I pay/do I need to pay when I register?
A. Should you wish, you can register and then pay up to the day of the class. However, since we accept purchase orders, payment may come from the institution after the class has taken place.
Q. What types of payments do you accept?
A. We accept credit cards, checks, money orders and purchase orders.
Q. Is U.S. currency the only type accepted?
A. Yes, please submit all payment in U.S. dollars. All checks must say payable in U.S. dollars.
Q. What is the Cancellation & Refund Policy?
A. If you are unable to attend the workshop and wish to receive a full refund, we must be notified five (5) business days prior to the start of the workshop. If you cancel one to four (1-4) business days prior to the start of the workshop, or the day of the workshop, no refund will be given. Instead, you will receive a credit for a future course. With regard to rare and unforeseen circumstances, the Grant Training Center reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a workshop. If such an event occurs, we will notify participants via email and phone at least 2 weeks before the start of the workshop. Participants who have paid, but are unable to attend a rescheduled workshop will receive either a refund or a credit toward a workshop at a later date.
